Youth Creative Writing
Ages 10-14 || Fridays- 4:30-5:45 || February 23-April 3
Are you bursting with story ideas? Noticing things that other people seem not to notice? Reading everything you can get your hands on?
If you're excited about new ways to see the world and creating stories about it, this class is for you. We’ll explore writing techniques and rhetorical devises, read together, and of course, write! Come learn to tell your own stories through fiction, poetry, creative non-fiction and more, plus present your favorite pieces at a showcase at the end of the class.

Youth Musical Theater and Storytelling Intensive
Ages 7-11 || 9am-12pm || 1 week during Summer 2026, dates TBD
Join Alyssa this summer as we create an original mini-musical! We’ll learn musical theater basics: singing, dancing, and acting, as well as an introduction into playwriting and storytelling. Parents and friends are invited to a showcase on the last class.
All skill levels welcome!

Boise Contemporary Theater Classes
Interested, but finding neither of these classes work for you? Fear not! I teach regularly in other places in Boise, and I’d love to see you there.
This fall, I’m also teaching Theater Lab and Stage One at Boise Contemporary Theater, classes where students create their own play, rehearse it, and perform it in a full production. You can find info about that below!

Advanced Acting Intensive
Ages 12-18 || Fridays- 4:00-5:30 || November 6-December 11
Want to improve your acting skills or break through into the next level of craft? Thinking about acting as a career or at least something you want to pursue in the future? This class is for you. We’ll do in-depth scene study, script analysis, audition technique and rehearsal, and more. Parents and friends are invited for a showcase on the last class, December 12.
This is an advanced class for students with some level of theater experience in the past.

Creative Writing for Little Storytellers
Ages 7-9 || Fridays- 4:30-5:30 || April 10-May 22
Join Alyssa this spring as we learn to tell our very own stories! We’ll learn storytelling basics: people, place, problem, story building and types, writing from prompts, and imagery. Students will present their own writings at a reading on the last day of class.
Students must be able to read and write without help. (Although being a good speller is not required! :) )

Youth Musical Theater Intensive
Ages 7-11 || Fridays, 4:30-6:00 || September 11-October 16
Sing and dance your way through fall in a class perfect for your kiddo who won’t stop singing. We’ll practice soloing and signing as an ensemble, and learn choreography to 3-4 Broadway songs. Family and friends are invited to a showcase on the last class.
